About Held in Prayer

Held in Prayer makes prayer books for parents.

Every book works the same way. One prayer to a page, written for something that is actually happening, with the Bible verse it comes from printed beside it so you can read both without hunting for anything. The type is large, because these are books people reach for late at night.

The prayers are not written to be read straight through. You find the page for the night you are having. There is a list at the front for the hardest ones.

The first book is Prayers Over My Adult Son. More are being written: for daughters, for husbands and wives, for a child who has walked away, and for parents carrying grief or worry of their own.

The verses are quoted from the Berean Standard Bible, which is in the public domain, so each prayer can print the passage in full rather than pointing you somewhere else.
